Every Monday morning I bomb down the road from Cheltenham to Cirencester, always barely making it in time, such is my desire to stay in bed right til the very last possible moment... you should see my alarms, I believe my most frequently set is the 9.16am..... trust me that extra minute makes me EXTREMELY HAPPY!
That technically should still give me umpteen time to arrive in time, but general procrastination, and sadly the call of a morning trawl through facebook loses me those precious minutes. Anyway, I digress.
So, every Monday morning I bomb down the road to Cotswold Leisure Centre to teach my wonderful 30 (although more slip in much to the members fury, you see numbers are restricted to 30 and this is a class of older ladies who do not take kindly to rule breaking...Ii LOVE THEM! ) There, they patiently wait for me to put on the music of their youth, which I adore and we stretch, we dance and we strengthen the muscles that with age require that extra special care. It always hits me half way through the class how privleged I am that they actually pay any attention to me, and how lucky I am to be able to call this life of mine a job, and then about ten minutes later I realise I may have got a bit carried away with myself, especially when at the end of my class this is the view that hits me....
...... 34 ladies exhausted, collapsed and in need of resuscitation on the floor ;)
..... just kidding! Here are these wonderful people, having a well deserved stretch before they get up and get on with the rest of their day in this beautiful Costwold Sunshine we are currently blessed with.
